Spring is coming~
It's raining today.
I'm drawing while listening to the sound of the rain with a cup of coffee. I also tried making toast, which I call "Windmill Toast. I also tried making it after seeing it on social media. Eating something pretty makes me feel like I'm treating myself more preciously, which can improve my mood.
Spring is coming. What thoughts come to your mind when spring arrives?
It makes you think about various things, doesn't it? Like wanting to go on a trip, considering planting some plants, or thinking about going to see the flowers.
Eating a fresh salad made with basil pesto or enjoying a tangy lemon jelly made with lemons...
This is how I'm ringing in the spring.
Ingredients
- 4 large lemons (to be used as containers for the jelly)
- 1/2 cup lemon juice (squeezed from about 2-3 lemons)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 4 teaspoons gelatin powder (or follow package instructions)
- 1/4 cup water (for blooming the gelatin)
Preparation
- Cut the lemons in half and juice them for another use. Hollow out the insides of the lemon halves to create lemon bowls.
- Bloom the gelatin by soaking it in 1/4 cup of cold water for about 5 minutes.
Making the Jelly
- In a medium-sized pot, combine the water and sugar. Heat over low heat until the sugar completely dissolves.
- Turn off the heat and add the lemon juice.
- Stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Pour the jelly mixture into the prepared lemon peel bowls.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the jelly is fully set.
Enjoy a delicious and refreshing lemon jelly dessert!!
